Pants Splitting Fun: West Coast Food Truck Lunch Party
As a food blogger, surely it's no surprise to you that I like to eat. I get a child-like giddyness on Christmas morning sort of excitement right before my meals (and sometimes hours before) and today was no exception. With a giant toothy grin, a sparkle in my eye and a spring (or perhaps it was a sprint?) in my step, to food trucks I went, plastic fork in hand, ready to devour. And devour I did.
Through the curtain of smoke I whirled and twirled from truck to truck, sampling some of the finest left coast food truck offerings. I marveled at the Mexican fare, with the smoky chipotle tamale that was embraced by layers of foil and banana leaves. I then practically cartwheeled over to the pizza station where I was greeted by a pillowy piece of dough with bright heirloom tomatoes and silky mozzarella cheese. Ignoring my stomach's urges to quit, I went on to inhale a petite cheeseburger that had ripples of sweet onions, tangy blue cheese and a burger so flavorful that I didn't mind that it's juices were racing down to my wrist.
This is the perfect day. And I'm really freaking full.
I would like one of each please; wonder if those trucks could just make a quick run through metro Denver?
