The SBK's First Cooking Video: Sweet Cinnamon Glazed Carrots

If you follow my Twitter Feeds and Fan Page then you may already know that a couple Friday's ago, I shot my very first little cooking video, which is now featured on the How2Heros website.  It was crazy having a film crew crammed in my Small Boston Kitchen (extra emphasis on the word small here..) there were lights, cameras (2 of them!) and of course, lots of kitchen action!

Lights..camera...ACTION!

I made two videos that day, one featuring on of my favorite vegetable recipes, my Sweet Cinnamon Glazed Carrots and my Caramelized Shallot and Rosemary Mashed Potatoes.  I was told that the mashed potatoes video is still being edited but should be published to the How2Heros site soon, and of course, I'll post it here when I get it.

And take ONE....Aaaaction!
Before the "shoot" I snapped some pictures of my kitchen and some of the prep.

My Small Boston Kitchen
Oh little counter space....
'Taters and Carrots ready to get all delicious
And then, after all the work, there was the video....

Special thanks to How2Heros for spending an afternoon with me in my kitchen!

I am too ugly to be filmed. You are not. And how do you deal with an electric stove?

Thank you so much! I'm just so glad no one could tell how hot it was in my kitchen! And I'm also really glad that they didn't get too annoyed by me yelling out cliche movie lingo like "Okay boys, let's take it from the top!". I think I had too much fun that day!

You are not kidding about a small kitchen so actually first thing I thought of when I saw those lights...bet it was WARM in there. And if you can't have fun with it in your own kitchen...why do it? I would like to see the 'making of' video too. :)

My daughter's kitchen is about the same size in her condo and despite her natural tendencies (she'll admit!) she has found that organization is key...and it sure looks like you have that going for yourself.

Loved the video and everyone is right...you are adorable!

You look like a professional! They keep asking me to do a video, but I'm a bit nervous about it... plus I don't create my own recipes like you do. The carrots look so tasty and so easy to make. And you look great on camera!

Love all the Le Creuset "bling" on the stovetop. :)

Great job, you're a natural on camera! And the carrots sound super tasty and carrots aren't even one of my favorites :)
