SEATTLE!
Earlier today, one anonymous poster left the correct answer to the little game that Fiona from A Boston Food Diary have been playing for the past week, "Where are we going?" Truth be told, I'm really excited someone got it, I'm not sure how much longer I could have held in the excitement! I've wanted to go to Seattle ever since I was an awkward and chubby teenager rocking out to Nirvana and Pearl Jam on my Diskman. I totally got swept up in the early 90's coolness that came from Seattle. I wanted nothing more than to wear a flannel shirt and hole up in a Starbucks with a bunch of friends and a giant latte in my hands, listening to the latest rock. But I was um, like 13 and well, my parents wouldn't let me.
So why Seattle, you ask?
To attend the 2010 International Food Bloogers Festival! I'm so excited I can hardly stand it. Not only will I get the excuse to go somewhere that I've always wanted to go, but I'll be mixing and mingling with some pretty exciting people, eating all sorts of yummy dishes, attending workshops, learning more about wine and just having a blast with people who, like me, love to geek out about food! There's a pretty sweet line-up ahead of us and I think I'm most excited about the possibility of meeting Molly Wizenberg, Kathleen Flinn and Morgan Spurlock, just to name a few. The best part is, you'll get to follow me every step of the way as I will be blogging and tweeting my brains out! So be sure to stay tuned, it's going to be an exciting weekend and I can't wait to tell you all about it!
Special thanks to all who humored Fiona and I and played along with our game. Wasn't that fun?
PS, I need your help. Fiona and I will have some free time to wander around the city and of course, eat. Any suggestions on where to go? I'd love to hear them!
