Whole Wheat Cranberry and White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Cookies! Cookies! Cookies!
I wish you could smell my Small Boston Kitchen right now.  And not just a couple polite little sniff-sniffs.  Uh-uh.  Now way, these cookies deserve more than that.  I'm talking pull up a chair, close your eyes and inhale deeply, not letting a single spicy-sweet air molecule escape.  If you were here, toasty cinnamon, fresh earthy nutmeg and sharp ginger would tease your taste-buds, begging your arms to reach for a cookie.  Arguably, your nose would be so stubbornly caught up with wiggling and waggling with excitement, grasping to take it all in and savor it, your arms would sit idly beside you, waiting for the cue to pounce.

At that point, I'd reach out and hand you a cookie.  Your hands would feel the fresh heat from the oven as the cookie makes a gentle and delicious little thud.  Not caring that the white chocolate chips would scorch the roof of your mouth, you'd dig in.  A slightly crunchy exterior with a warm and soft center would greet your first bite.  Suddenly, your taste buds would be taken hostage by a mass of flavors and textures; chewy and tangy cranberries, subtly crunchy macadamia nuts, sweet white chocolate whipped up into a swirling spicy and buttery cookie.  You'd smile a satisfyingly, deliriously happy smile.  You'd have crumbs all over your mouth.

By this point, I would have told you that these cookies are whole wheat and made with cranberries (healthy antioxidants!) but you would have waved your hand at me, batting away the healthy details.  I would have also tried to explain to you how easy they were to make.  But by this point, I'm not even sure you'd be listening to me at all.

Cinnamony, sweet and tangy..warm and chewy..the way an Oatmeal Cookie should be

It's just that good of a cookie.

Katie just got to work with the goods and if they taste half as good as they smell then I might be enjoying cookies for breakfast.

I love the style of this post!

I really don't like white chocolate, but for some reason, I love white chocolate, cranberry, and oatmeal cookies. I want in on the next batch!
