Geoff & Drew's Cookies (+ a special offer!)

Geoff & Drew's Cookies
Are you still looking for a last minute Christmas gift?  Maybe there's someone particularly hard to shop for or you're staring back at a calendar full of holiday parties and festivities and you're just not sure how the heck you're going to go to everything and still make sure everyone gets an awesome gift.  Or maybe you Christmas shop like me, sitting comfortably at home on the couch with laptop balanced on your knees, clicking and shipping your gifts to where they need to be.  Either way, I'm going to let you in on a little secret that's just perfect for anyone on your list: Fresh Homemade Cookies! (Don't worry, you don't have to bake them.)

I had the divine pleasure of attending a little cookie tasting party last week featuring the outstanding Geoff & Drew's cookies.  Organized by Elizabeth from Free Food Boston and hosted by Clover Food Lab in Harvard Square, this event was dangerously fun.  I always say that I'm not really a big dessert person and I walked into this tasting thinking that I'd politely pick at one cookie and call it a night.  I had no idea what I was in store for.  Geoff & Drew's cookies are just about the best you can get when it comes to cookies.  Made fresh when you order, they come an assortment of flavors and packaging options (and of course holiday options as well!)

Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chip
So, onto the important part. What do they taste like?  I bit into an Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Cookie (as seen above.  Pay no attention to my fingerless gloves. It was FREEZING that night!) and was blown away at how my teeth just sunk right into the soft cookie.  It was so light and sweet and buttery all at the same time.  It's the type of cookie you wish you could make all the time.  Heck, it's the type of cookie that you wish you could eat all the time.  This is the way cookies should taste.  I'll admit, with so many cookies strewn about on the table in front of us, I found it hard to stick to my original 1 cookie limit.  Before I knew it, I had had at least a little bite of each variety.  (My absolute favorites being the Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate and the Oatmeal Cranberry, but really all of them were good).
So much for my "I'll only have one" plan..
If this post has had you chomping at the bit to order a box and give them a try (err, I mean you thought you'd like to give them as a gift to someone) for a limited time, Geoff & Drew's would like to offer my readers 20% off their purchase of these fantastic cookies!  To take advantage, enter Blog20 at the checkout.  (Sorry, offer excludes sale items).  In addition to receiving delicious cookies, your order is also helping to support a Massachusetts based company (I just thought I'd throw that in, just in case you need further justification for purchasing these!)

Totally unrelated to this post BUT... Leah just got back from Toronto and had a crazy meal at Beast. One of the dishes was a poutine that substituted the french fries with fried gnocchi. I think you might be on to a potential 2011 food trend... Friend Gnocchi will be everywhere!
